In 2014, thanks to the visionary leadership of the Cummings Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Partners In Health took the first steps towards realizing a long-sought aspiration — to create a university that would advance global health delivery by training a new generation of global health leaders who are equipped in not just building, but sustaining effective and equitable health systems.
For over three decades, Partners In Health (PIH) has delivered high-quality health care and social services across ten countries and in some of the world’s most underserved communities. By working closely with local governments and alongside communities to design and deliver public health programs, PIH has emerged as a leader in delivering health services in poor and under-resourced settings.

WCN - Solar System for Elephants and Bees Research Center & Women’s Enterprise Center

This project focuses on the Save the Elephants’ Human-Elephant Co-Existence program, founded by Dr. Lucy King, who discovered that African elephants were deterred by the presence of African honey bees. Elephants, who threaten the livelihood of farmers, could easily consume a family’s entire seasonal food provision in a single night.

Akashinga Game Wardens

We are the International Anti-Poaching Foundation. Founded in 2009, the IAPF has grown from an industry service provider, to a leader in on-the-ground solutions for nature conservation. Through two key approaches, the IAPF implements programs in strategically positioned areas which promote increased habitat protection and restoration, contributing to national and ecoregion-scale conservation strategies, and the empowerment of indigenous peoples to protect their sovereign lands.
1: The operational model is Akashinga, a community-driven conservation program, empowering disadvantaged women to restore and manage networks of wilderness areas in Africa.
2: Training is conducted under the LEAD Ranger initiative, a program of excellence, building field based indigenous leadership and instructional capacity across the global conservation industry.
